That though no ONE person or company can solve the dilemmas with our environment, everyone doing their part can make a change. We at Pixel 8 Design Group want to assure our clients that we are doing our part. We have investigated our industry’s environmentally friendly standards and endeavor to exceed that standard.

The most blatant and quintessential solution is in daily recycling. From ink cartridges and bulk toner being sent back to manufacturers for appropriate recycling to the reuse or recycling of inbound packing materials, from used computer equipment being disassembled and disposed of accordingly for metal and plastic recycling to the onsite use of recyclable materials-- we’re doing our share.

To eliminate waste is a definitive solution for our planet. At Pixel 8 Group Inc. we strive to find the most responsible avenues to practically observe this philosophy. Our online payment options reduce paper waste on three levels: invoicing, check-writing and mail. Our artists utilize Bamboo electronic drawing pads for raw sketches to present to our clients to end human error in the printing process and therefore, paper waste. We supply our clients with digital samples to eliminate printed waste and request digital signatures to reduce the need for reorders; this digital proofing process eradicates the need for printed samples, ultimately eliminating two cycles of paper waste and promoting energy conservation in a print process that only runs once instead of two and three times.

Our environmentally-conscious transition has led us to new business practices and a growing desire to be an even more responsible and responsive business. We have researched soy-based inks utilized in our printing to find that they are a renewable resource, significantly reduce the amount of VOCs (volatile organic compounds, which have been linked to health risks and contribute to smog) released into the air during printing, and that in fact soy-based inks are a higher grade of ink and have a brighter color value. We have discontinued business with vendors and suppliers who are not environmentally friendly and seek alliances with those who help us supply our clients with the highest quality and most environmentally friendly product on the market.

As new research and practices for going green are brought to our attention, you can be confident that we will make every effort to persevere in continuing to improve our environmentally conscious endeavors. We are doing our part, and believe that we can all teach the world that we can make a change that will be a part of a better future for ourselves and the coming generations.
